Saturday-Last of 6 days of Teaching

We are half way finished with our teaching. We finished our 6th day today, and have tomorrow off. Yea!  The kids were really wired today because they got to go home for a day after school. They were so excited to have a break. This is their summer and most of them do not want to be at summer school, they want to be home playing video games, watching TV, and playing. Can't blame them.  I did a lesson on transportation and asked them is any of them had traveled outside of China. A third of them had!  All over the world. It is a pricey school, and the parents must have good jobs. I know at least one of them is an airline pilot.
Yesterday just before school let out we had a huge thunder and lighting storm, and then it poured rain! Poured!  I felt sad for all the people walking and riding bikes in it. The noise was truly scary!  Today was another storm, but not so much noise. We had foot massages again last night.
Tonight we headed out to McDonalds for dinner and then did some shopping.  Busy night because of the weekend. Lots of people out shopping.  We got some deals on pearls, and other things.
Jon Marie was out sick with stomach problems for two days. She was back to work today and feeling better. Another teacher was out for 2 days also. One of the men teachers looked horrible one day, gray, but seems to be feeling better today. Hopefully it has passed!  Knock on wood.
Every night we spend time chasing and trying to catch mosquitoes. In fact one keeps flying around me now. They are quicker than in Alaska!  They seem to like Evelyn much more than me!  I sure don't mind that. But I get a few bites too!
Tomorrow I will try and catch up!
