2nd Day of Teaching

Went walking at 6am. If you head right just outside of the hotel I can go thru the park and walk thru the park and back to the hotel in a circle and take about 40 minutes. There are many "older" people in the park doing exercises. They don't walk quite as fast as I do, perhaps because it is at least 80 degrees.

Back to the hotel for a shower while the laundry soaks in the sink.   Rinse it out, head down for a quick breakfast. I made an egg sandwich with two pieces of toast, an egg, and some tomatoes.  Tang.....warm.

Head to the bus at 7:40 and get to school about 8:15.  Grab stuff for class out of the workroom and head to class.
8:20-8:55  1st period
9:05-9:40 2nd period
9:55-10:30 3rd period

I used the book "The Important Book". It is a pattern book and always starts with: Snow is important because is it white, or An Apple is important because it is round, and then continues with more information. I did a lot of vocabulary words with the kids, and then ended up with the last page which was: You are important because you are you.  Then the kids wrote why they are important and we shared them with each other.  I thought it went well. Some students understand more than others.

We sang a couple of songs also. It is so cute to hear them singing. They have all been very kind and polite. There are a couple of boys that are quite active, but the Chinese teacher talks to them and they calm down.

Lunch, a little computer time, and then planning time.  Then the afternoon schedule, and boy those kids are tired and hot after lunch.
2:00-2:35
2:45-3:25
3:35-4:10
With a popsicle break in the middle. Bean popsicle again.

Hop back on the bus at 4:30 and back to the hotel.  There were 5 of us that went for feet massage, and 5 for full body massage.  Evelyn, Bonnie, and I did the foot. We soaked our feet in buckets of hot tea water while we got an upper body massage, and boy was that nice. They asked if we wanted the skin treatment, and boy did they soften up our feet by scraping off all the dead skin.  You should have seen all the dead skin they got off Bonnie!  She loved it. They then massaged our feet and sometimes it really hurt. They told me that I had stomach problems, and that is true, but they didn't tell Evelyn that and she has been having diareeah (spelling) for 2 days!  I'm just the opposite.  Anyway, it was heavenly.  Total cost:$13.00

Fixing up the blog....heading to bed!  Good day. Hotter than ****but I survived!
